Privacy

This is a personal website. It has no accounts or contact form. I have not added Google Analytics or advertising pixels of my own. The embedded music service is explained below.

 

 

Visiting the site

Cloudflare delivers and protects these pages. To do that, it processes technical information about requests, which can include an IP address and the page requested. Cloudflare may also show me traffic and security information about the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of that information.

 

 

Music player

The Music page includes an optional SoundCloud player. Wherever you visit from, the player stays off until you choose “Load SoundCloud player”, unless this browser has a saved allow choice from a previous visit. Before you allow it, the embed makes no connection to SoundCloud. This site does not check your country for this setting.

Loading the player connects your browser to SoundCloud, even before you press Play. SoundCloud may collect usage information and use cookies and similar technologies for playback, analytics, advertising, and personalization. I look at SoundCloud’s listener analytics. SoundCloud explains its handling of information and its own visitor choices in its privacy policy and cookie policy.

An explicit allow or disable choice is saved in your browser’s local storage for 90 days, solely to remember your player preference. You can disable the player using the controls on the Music page or below. Clearing browser storage or expiry of your choice means the player will ask again. If your browser cannot save it, your choice applies only to the current page. Disabling the player prevents future connections from the embed; it does not remove information SoundCloud has already received or change your SoundCloud account settings.

 

 

If you email me, I use your message and address to read and reply to you. Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
